FAQs

How do I pause or cancel my subscription?

Go to the Account section in the top right hand corner. Once you have logged in, click “subscriptions”. You will then see a list of your active and inactive subscriptions. Click ‘view’ next to the active subscription you wish to amend. You will then see the options to either pause or cancel. A cancellation will be permanent, but you can choose to suspend indefinitely or for up to 3 months.

You can restart whenever you are ready by returning to this same page.

If you have any problems, or wish to give feedback, please contact us via the “Get In Touch” section at the bottom of our home screen.

Can I just try the Vegums products?

Yes, there are no commitments. Simply pause or cancel your subscription at any time through the Account section on the top tool-bar of our home page. You could also buy a “One Time Purchase” pack if you just want to try them or buy them for someone as a gift.

How long do I have to wait for my order to arrive?

We aim to dispatch all our orders by the next working day. All UK orders qualify for FREE DELIVERY and should be with you within 2-4 working days after dispatch.

International orders will cost £4.95 for delivery. They should take between 8-12 working days after dispatch, depending on the destination.

Please note, we are still shipping through Covid-19, but please be aware there may be some delays due to this, particularly overseas.

Can I change the date my monthly subscription is taken?

Yes, we can do this! Simply email [email protected] where our customer service team will be able to change this for you.

Please note, this will change the date your subscription is taken each month going forward.

I didn’t receive a tub or tin, or would like a new one. Where can I get one?

Our tubs and tins are free optional extras, so during checkout you have the choice to receive one or not. If you missed this, or simply need a new one, that’s no problem at all! Just fill out the “Get In Touch” section at the bottom of our home screen telling us what you would like, and we can either add it to your next order or send separately.

Can Vegum products be taken during pregnancy / breastfeeding?

Our Multivitamin for Vegans contains a fine blend of vitamins and minerals, which are more likely to be deficient in a plant-based diet. However, they are not specifically designed to be taken during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, and therefore if this applies to you we recommend you supplement according to the NHS guidance, of which your doctor or pharmacist can advise. Our Iron and DHA gummies are safe for pregnant or breastfeeding people to take, but you should always consult your GP first.

Are Vegums products suitable for children?

Yes! Many vegan parents have told us that they worry that their child is not getting enough of the vitamins and minerals they need, but really struggle to get them to take vitamin tablets. Vegums turn a daily chore into a treat, and not just for children; I mean who wouldn’t rather chew a delicious gummy bear than swallow a pill?

Vegums have been specially designed to allow a simple dosage of ONE gummy bear for children (3-12 years old) and TWO for adults (and children over 12) – perfect for all the family!

Do Vegums products contain sugar?

Each gummy bear contains a pinch of sugar: 0.7g (a sixth of a teaspoon), which is also the same quantity as the sugar in a chewable vitamin.

Both our Omega-3 and Iron gummies contain natural beet sugar, whilst our Multivitamin contains unrefined cane sugar.

Why doesn’t The Multivitamin for Vegans contain the full range of vitamins?

A plant-based diet is usually packed full of essential vitamins and minerals, particularly vitamin A, B & C. However, some vitamins are difficult to get from plants, and are largely present in meat and dairy products, such as vitamin D, B12, iodine and more. For this reason, a standard multivitamin would give you too much of what you already have and too little of what you really need.

Thankfully our Vegums pharmacists have tailored a blend of vitamins that perfectly compliments a plant-based diet; easing-off on those that you get plenty of, while loading-up on the ones that tend to be absent.
And if that’s not enough, they taste delicious!

We are currently working on an A-Z gummy which would contain a winder variety of those essential vitamins and minerals. Please sign up to the newsletter for more information on when this will launch!

Why do your Fish-Free Omega-3 gummies only contain DHA?

EPA is much more difficult to find in a vegan form, so our creators decided to stick to DHA rich algae oil to keep it in line with our ethics.

We are aware of the benefits of EPA, so will continue to try to find the best vegan source of this.

Do Vegums products contain gelatine?

Absolutely not! We use pectin (from citrus fruits) as our gelling agent. Along with all our other ingredients, it’s totally vegan.

What should I do if my child / pet / partner eats too many supplements?

Although we have never known anyone to become ill from taking too many Vegums, we always advise that you stick to the recommended dose and seek the advice of a doctor or pharmacist if you know someone who has taken too many of any product.

The Multivitamin for Vegans contains mainly water-soluble vitamins, which are easily removed from the body in urine if too much is consumed so these shouldn’t cause a problem. The only exception to this is vitamin D, which is fat-soluble and if taken at a very dose for a prolonged period of time can become harmful to the body. Taking 60,000 IU of Vitamin D a day for several months has been shown to cause toxicity. This is the equivalent of taking 150 Vegums every day for several months. https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/expert-answers/vitamin-d-toxicity/faq-20058108

Our Iron gummies contain 7mg each, so it’s important that you stick to the recommended dose as iron is stored in the body. According to The Department of Health and Social Care, you should not regularly be supplementing more than 17mg of iron per day. The tolerable upper limit for a one-off intake is slightly higher at 20mg, but the NHS states that this is when you might see side-effects such as constipation, nausea and stomach pain. Extremely high doses can be fatal, so keep out of reach of children. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/vitamins-and-minerals/iron/

It is hard to define a tolerable single upper limit for Omega-3, but prolonged high intake of fatty acids (DHA, EPA or ALA) can increase risk of cardiovascular disease. The European Food Safety Authority states that supplemental intakes of DHA alone up to about 1 g/day, or 5g/day of DHA and EPA combined, do not raise safety concerns for the general population. It is therefore advised not to regularly exceed this. The dietary recommendations for EPA and DHA based on cardiovascular risk considerations for European adults are between 250 and 500 mg/day is sufficient. https://www.efsa.europa.eu/en/efsajournal/pub/2815

What’s your return and refund policy?

We’re confident you’ll love your Vegums, but if you have a problem with your order then we’ll sort it as quickly as we can.

Unfortunately as Vegums are a consumable we cannot accept returns unless the product arrives to you in a state unfit for consumption. If this is the case, please contact us using the “Get In Touch” section at the bottom of our home screen and we’ll either send a replacement or a refund ASAP.

If you have any other feedback for us after receiving your order we’d be really grateful to hear it!

Can the bags go in home composting?

The wrappers we use are plastic-free, cellulose bags, made from wood-pulp. They’re 100% biodegradable and can be thrown straight in your compost bin along with your potato peelings. They are also suitable to be used in vermicomposters.

Will I pay customs charges or import tax due to Brexit?

According to the Gov.UK website, goods you have purchased to the value of £135 or less are free from Customs Duty and not subject to Import Tax.

This applies to Vegums, but excludes alcohol, tobacco products or perfumes.
